Snugglepot and Cuddlepie are the two best known Gumnut babies found in a series of books written by Australian author May Gibbs first published in 1918 (cover pictured).

Brimstone Butterfly

Brimstone (pictured), California Dogface and Painted Lady are species of butterflies.

Described as new to science in 2011 in the journal Mycologia, Spongiforma squarepantsii is a type of mushroom with two specimens collected in 2010 in Lambir Hills National Park, in Sarawak, Malaysia.
