West Quoddy Head Lighthouse

Among the fifty-seven active lighthouses in Maine are the easternmost in the country, West Quoddy Head in Lubec, Maine (pictured) and the first completed in the United States after its independence from Great Britain, Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine completed on January 10, 1791.

British electronics salesman and comedian Steve Woodmore was the world's current fastest talker, can articulate at 637 words per minute with the Guinness World Records listing Woodmore as the world's fastest talker until his record was beaten by Sean Shannon, the current record holder, when Guinness clocked Shannon at a rate of 655 words per minute on 30 August 1995.
