Komodo dragon

The largest living species of lizard is the Komodo dragon (pictured) found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang, and Padar and can grow to a maximum length of 3 metres (10 ft) and weigh up to approximately 70 kilograms (150 lb).

Found during archaeological excavations at Duvensee near Klinkrade (Herzogtum Lauenburg) Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1926, The Duvensee paddle on display at the Archaeological Museum Hamburg is the world's second oldest known paddle.
